It is time to run for Precinct Delegate again in 2026. Please bring your filled in form to the 10th District meeting to have it notarized. Forms will also be at the meeting

📅 Official Deadline (2026 Election)

MCL 168.624 Delegate to county or district conventions; qualifications; affidavit of identity; seating of delegates; violation as misdemeanor; complaint; procedure.

👉 Tuesday, May 5, 2026 — 4:00 PM

This is the deadline to file your:

• Precinct Delegate Affidavit of Identity

If you miss that:

• You will NOT appear on the ballot

This deadline is confirmed across multiple Michigan county election offices and filing guides.

⚖️ Legal Rule Behind It

Under Michigan Election Law: MCL 168.624

• Filing closes 4:00 PM on the 13th Tuesday before the August primary

For 2026:

• Primary = August 4, 2026
• That lands the deadline exactly on May 5, 2026

You still have one fallback:

Write-In Option

• File a Write-In Declaration of Intent
• Deadline: Friday, July 31, 2026 at 4:00 PM

OR

• File at the polling place on Election Day before polls close
